These two beaches sit on opposite ends of what a Corfu shore can be, and choosing between them is really a choice about what you want the day to feel like. Put plainly: Agios Georgios Pagon is a long west facing bay built for an easy, active, all day beach session that ends with a sunset walk. Canal d'Amour is not a beach at all in the usual sense. It is a set of honey coloured sandstone cliffs, a narrow channel and a couple of small coves, and it rewards timing above everything. One is a place to spend the day. The other is a place to spend an hour and remember it.

Canal d'Amour has vivid water in the channel and the coves, and it is deeper than the shallow main beach at Sidari nearby. Swimming through the channel on a calm day is the whole legend, but the channel narrows and the rock can be sharp, so this is water for confident swimmers who are paying attention rather than paddlers looking for a gentle shelf. Facilities and food
Agios Georgios Pagon is the more fully serviced of the two. It has beach bars, tavernas, sunbeds, water sports and a seasonal water taxi across to the wild double bay of Porto Timoni. The beach itself is free to enter, with sunbeds, umbrellas and water sports as paid extras in the organised sections. Specific operators are to be confirmed and vary by season, but the shape of the day is clear: everything you need to stay put is on the sand.
Canal d'Amour is lighter on facilities by nature. There is a cafe, a bar and sunbeds above the rocks in season, with the full resort of Sidari a short walk away for anything more. Operators here are also to be confirmed. If you want a proper lunch, a drink with a view and a table to return to, that is more naturally the Agios Georgios Pagon day. If you are happy with a coffee above the cliffs and the resort within reach, Canal d'Amour is enough.
Water sports and the boat
This is a genuine strength for Agios Georgios Pagon and worth a line of its own. It is one of the better beaches on Corfu for getting on the water, with seasonal rentals that typically include pedalos, kayaks, paddleboards and powered options. Both beaches get busy in high summer, but the effect of the crowd is completely different, and this is where honesty matters most.
Agios Georgios Pagon is an open resort bay rather than a hidden cove. It is busy with sunbeds and water sports through the day, and that busyness barely dents the experience, because the beach is long and the point of it is the easy communal beach day.
